School Uniform

General Uniform

We like our children to look smart and feel that they belong to our school. We therefore encourage children to wear school uniform. A full list appears below.

Boys - Grey or Black trousers, white shirt, red v-neck pullover or sweatshirt, black sensible shoes and grey socks, school tie (optional)

Girls – Grey or Black pinafore dress or skirt, white blouse, red v-neck pullover, cardigan or sweatshirt, black sensible shoes, school tie (optional). A red and white gingham dress can be worn during the summer months. Grey or Black trousers can be worn in the winter months.

Trainers are not an acceptable part of our school uniform and must not be worn.

School ties, caps and book bags are available from the school office. Clive Mark Schoolwear in Wylde Green stock sweatshirts with or without the school logo. There is also a stall on the Indoor Market in Sutton Coldfield called Norton Sportswear who stock school uniform with our logo.

All items of clothing should be clearly marked with your child’s name as much time can be spent trying to reunite lost clothing with its owner.

Jewellery, nail varnish and make up are not permitted. For those with pierced ears, a stud is acceptable. Hoop or dangling earrings are not permitted and children will be asked to remove them. School cannot accept the responsibility for loss or damage to jewellery or injury caused by wearing unsuitable items. Those children who are involved in swimming lessons should not wear earrings on the day they are due to swim – the swimming instructors will ask them to be removed.

Sports Kit

As part of the School Curriculum, children are required to take part in PE, games and swimming. It is essential that children are appropriately and safely dressed. In our view this does mean getting changed and not just removing some items of clothing to reveal a PE or swimming kit already in place.

Indoor clothing – plain white or red t-shirt, red or white shorts, black plimsolls. Bare feet are necessary when using apparatus for safety reasons.

Outdoor clothing – plain top and shorts as above. Trainers. In winter it is quite acceptable for children to wear a track suit.
